Welcome to Heather Glen Farm

About Us

Nestled in the picturesque Peebleshire countryside, Heather Glen Farm offers a delightful day out for all. With its rolling green fields, charming stone buildings, and the soothing sounds of nature, this working farm provides an idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Visitors of all ages are welcome to explore and enjoy a variety of activities that showcase the best of rural Scottish life.

The farm is home to a diverse array of animals, including sheep, cows, chickens, and friendly farm dogs. Children and adults alike can delight in feeding the animals, learning about their care, and even witnessing the birth of lambs during the spring season. The knowledgeable staff are always on hand to provide fascinating insights into farm life and answer any questions visitors may have.

For those looking to immerse themselves further in the rural experience, Heather Glen Farm offers hands-on workshops. These include traditional crafts such as wool spinning, cheese making, and beekeeping. These workshops not only provide a fun and educational experience but also help to preserve important cultural practices.

Nature enthusiasts will find plenty to love about Heather Glen Farm as well. The farm boasts several walking trails that wind through its scenic landscape, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Birdwatchers can spot a variety of native species, while the more adventurous might enjoy a guided nature walk to learn about the local flora and fauna.

After a day of exploration and activities, visitors can relax in the farm's cozy tearoom. Here, they can enjoy homemade baked goods, fresh produce from the farm, and a selection of traditional Scottish teas. The tearoom also features a small shop where guests can purchase farm-fresh products and handcrafted items as souvenirs of their visit.

We're still a working farm which allows you a unique opportunity to see the source of your food from the handler's perspective. As you navigate the farm live workshops will be held, teaching you anything from milking our cows to how to handle farm machinery.
